The launch of Artemis 1, an uncrewed test flight for NASA’s Artemis program, signals the first step of a new era of exploration of the Moon. With Artemis missions, NASA plans to land the first woman and first person of color on the Moon to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before. The Artemis project will establish the first long-term human-robotic presence on and around the Moon, in collaboration with commercial and international partners.
